The 2014 Essential Bootcamp ran from Saturday, April 5 to Sunday, April 6 and was led by veteran producer Jeannette Loakman (Cat Ladies, Annie Ong: Lost & Found). The Bootcamp featured top industry guest speakers with expertise in budgeting and financing, legal and business affairs, and marketing and distribution including: Chanda Chevannes (Living Downstream), Howard Fraiberg (Listen to This), Ingrid Hamilton (GAT PR), Lalita Krishna (Semisweet: Life in Chocolate), Liz Marshall (The Ghosts in Our Machine), Kristina McLaughlin (The National Parks Project), Diana Warme (The Italian Question), entertainment lawyer Doug Murray and more. Through panel discussions, case studies and presentations, participants were given expert insight and the opportunity to ask their burning questions about working as a producer in the industry. Useful templates – from call sheets to cost reports – were also provided to participants.

The 2016 Essential Bootcamp took place over 4 in-depth evening sessions in July 2016.
