The discussion will be moderated by Lisa Valencia Svensson, Emmy-Award winning Toronto producer, and will be followed by an audience Q&A and networking over drinks at a cash bar.

Patrick McGuire is a journalist and documentary producer who is currently VICE Canada’s Head of Content. As VICE prepares to launch a Canadian TV network in the fall, Patrick will be on the team overseeing original television production, alongside the youth-targeted digital and print journalism the brand is known for, which spans a network of ten online channels and a monthly print magazine.
Michael Kronish is VICE Canada’s Executive Vice President, responsible for overseeing the studios’ television, mobile and online content. Prior to VICE Canada, Michael was an executive producer and show runner at Montreal based Galafilm and most recently launched the international division of the Quebec production company Zone3, where he developed and produced English TV series for the Canadian and international marketplace.
Stephanie Brown is the Executive Producer for VICE Digital. In this role, she oversees production for all VICE channels as well as the television series Best of VICE Canada. Stephanie has worked in documentary film and television for over a decade with a strong focus on indigenous human rights.
Lisa is an award-winning documentary film producer based in Toronto. Her first feature length documentary Herman’s House won an Emmy for Outstanding Arts & Culture Programming and was broadcast on the prestigious PBS documentary series POV. She has associate produced several films, including Emmy-nominated The World Before Her, which have broadcast internationally, and which have screened and won awards at festivals including TIFF, Tribeca, and Hot Docs.
